Each year, the kazakH nomads host a gathering of competitions showcasing their skills of their eagles and horsemanship. The eagles are used to help them hunt and catch game, foxes, rabbits, goats etc. Eagles can be paired with both young and older hunters. We saw as young as 14 and as old as 80 years.
